In line with our commitment to keep enhancing our offering, we are currently busy upgrading some of our rides. In the meantime you can take your pick of fun-filled attractions and family entertainment at Gold Reef City Theme Park.

The Occupational Health and Safety legislation in South Africa, and the Regulations thereunder, being of general application, do apply to amusement devices and fun rides. There is, however, no dedicated or specific legislation governing amusement devices and fun rides.
We comply with our obligations in terms of the Health and Safety legislation and Regulations - as a matter of practice we follow what is considered best practice in the industry, globally, as the requirements in terms of best practice are more focused and specific. Detailed and rigorous inspection is carried out by appropriately qualified independent experts.

Should you therefore visit us with the express desire to ride a particular attraction then we would advise you to either:

    * Contact our call centre or guest services office on 011 248 6800 to confirm if the ride is operating prior to arriving
      at the park.
    * Alternatively, check with our information kiosk or electronic notice board before entering the park.
    * It should be noted that all Theme parks worldwide are subject to unscheduled shutdowns for which we apologise in advance.

The new 100-seater 4-D cinema will bring cinematic entertainment in four dimensions to Johannesburg for the first time.

Visitors will be able to watch images come to spectacular life in glorious 4D, while hydraulic seats, vapors, and a range of smells and scents suited to the illusions on the screen will add an extra dimension to the experience.
No children under 1.1m allowed in the 4D Theatre
